On Apr. 14, 2006, on invitation of Prof. Xianglin Gu, Prof. Folker H. Wittmann visited Department of Building Engineering of Tongji University. He was introduced with the plan of “The Colligate Test System of the Structural Durability under Synthesis Environment condition”, which is the sub project of “Urban Construction and Hazard Resistance” as part of the 985 Project Stage II. He showed great interests in the plan and gave valuable and thoughtful suggestions. In afternoon, Prof. Folker H. Wittmann gave a lecture on “Durability Design, and More Durable Materials” to the faculty members and students of the Department of Building Engineering.
